Further Confusion

This will be the 6th year that we will be at this convention.

Further Confusion will be held atThe Fairmont San José. CA - NEW LOCATION

We will be running the StarFire Region's other bar, the Black Hole. The Black Hole will only be open Friday (22nd) and Saturday nights (23rd). The Black Hole is a bar idea that Qa'tO came up with last year. We will be serving mixed drinks, Klingon concoctions, sodas, etc. Some munchies will also be available.

Friday Night, Jan 22,  is planned as Dress as you like. This night is Klingon Sports night, Planet of the Apes, ISS Hornet,  Ewoks or whatever costume you wish to wear.. Soon after the bar opens, usually around 8pm, we will take group photos. Special Note: Friday afternoon we will need help setting up the room (decorations, moving furniture, etc). if you can get there early and help it would be most appreciated.

Saturday Night, Jan 23, is planned as Klingon Night. This is the night to wear your Klingon uniform. Soon after the bar opens, usually around 8pm, we will start with ship photos once all members of a given ship are present.

PARKING: Be advised that the Fairmount Hotel has limited valet parking at $28 per night. There are nearby parking garages are variable fees.

Parking for FC2010 can be really cheap, or even free! This all depends on your arrival and departure times and careful examination of the fee and time schedules for the public parking lots.
For example, the Pavilion Parking Garage on 150 S. Second Street in San Jose is the closest (directly across the street) and one of the cheapest parking garages.

- Weekends are free, weekday departures after 6pm are only $3.
- The garage contains 263 indoor parking spaces.
- Elevators to surface streets. (hours vary for elevator times, there is currently a 24 hour elevator and one that closes at 11:30pm)
- Spaces are closer to the hotel lobby than most of the self-park spaces at our previous location.
- Your total parking fee for the weekend can easily be cheaper than at the last FurCon.
- If you drive a hybrid, parking is free (based on availability) in the Fairmont's Garage.
